These Wolves Are Robots were formed in May 2009 by John "Effingham" Adams (Thin King, Jocephus & The George Jonestown Massacre, This Fucking Train), Dan Garber (Lewds, Handsome Jimmy Valium), and Jody R. Smith (Lewds, The Sonsabitches). The band was originally put together as a one-off to perform 3 LEWDS songs at the MEMPHIS HATES YOU FESTIVAL. Things just kind of fell together and the guys decided to write some new stuff. These Wolves Are Robots performed their first set of original material 2 months later as the opening act for WEEDEATER and RWAKE. The three members have been around the Memphis music scene for over a decade in various bands and have shared the stage with the likes of HIGH ON FIRE, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MASTODON, TODAY IS THE DAY, THE GLASSPACK, EYEHATEGOD, BLUE CHEER, SUPLECS, QUINTAINE AMERICANA, STINKING LIZAVETA, and KARMA TO BURN.
