Although often lumped in with the burgeoning doom/sludge/riff-worship scene, Galaxicon's take on heavy music is equal parts death/black metal and prog/classic rock. It is loud, destructive, experimental, but deliberate, meticulously constructed to convey something more than just "heavy." Songs such as "Rapture of the Deep" and "A Man Should Remember His Past" offer crushing riffs, atmospheric blackened melodies, and dynamic shifts in phrasing and syncopation. Galaxicon has shared the stage with a number of respected bands in the scene, including SAVIOURS, ZOROASTER, UNSANE, RWAKE, INTRONAUT, HOWL, THE ATLAS MOTH, DARK CASTLE, BLACK TUSK,  and more. They will be touring throughout 2012 in support of their their upcoming full-length debut. on Good For Nothing Records.
