Valhalla Rising - 8/10

I thought this was SUPER boring. It barely had a story and seemed to try to make up for it by being atmospheric. I watched it over at Aviottis and we both passed out during the eeeeennnnnnnddddddddllllllleeeeeessssss "lost in the fog on a boat" heavy handed metaphor for something (I dont know what). I felt no need to watch any more. Ben finished it and filled me in and Im glad I didnt watch the rest. What a cop out. This guy was clearly trying to do Herzog and failed imo. Im about to watch Bronson though which I still have high hopes for.

I'd be kinda surprised if you don't like Bronson. I can see how people would get bored with Valhalla Rising, and it was out of his style (compared to his other films). I'm about to finish the Pusher trilogy. I'll have to burn you copies.

Not sure if there was really a metaphor in the fog scene. I think they used that to build up the retards suspicions of the kid being a curse.

Rented Schindler's List last night. I've put off watching it for years because of how long it is. I'm glad I got around to watching it. Incredible. 9.5/10

Being the nerd that I am, the first thing I did when I got back into Knoxville today was go buy this week's comics. The guy that owns the store had free passes to Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and I managed to get the last one. It was pretty damn good. Best thing Michael Cera's done in a while. For those who don't know, it's directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz).

I'm excited to see this. I wasn't 100% satisfied with book 6, though. It didn't make me laugh nearly as much as the first 5.
